Fall is always about speed development. To do this we need a mix of technique development,
improving pool skills such as push-offs and dolphin kicks, and a healthy dose of hard work.
3 workouts per week, 12-week program for a total of 36 speed focused workouts this Fall.
Suitable for any swimmer who would be in Level 4 or Masters.
In these workouts you will swim short distances at near maximum effort. This type of training has become very popular with Olypmic sprinters recently, often called USRPT or 'Ultra Short Race Pace Training'.
These workouts build your aerobic engine at an effort level that allows you to focus on swimming with good skill rather than high effort, and they offer both a physical and mental challenge.
These workouts incorporate longer distance reps at a low intensity and will feature more drills than the other sessions. Focus on delivering the best technique you can muster.
These workouts range from 2000m to 2500m
and will take up to 60-minutes to complete.

Purchase a video analysis session for $49 + GST. Ask a friend of fellow swimmer to film you from the pool deck, ideally doing both normal swimming and some drills. Most pools allow this now so long as you tell the lifeguard what you are up to. Film yourself from the front and from the side, upload your videos here and we will be in touch to arrange a video analysis consultation with you.
