Welcome to coast swim team

We offer a very inclusive environment, have with a wide range of abilities within our group and keep the meets focused on fun participation, supporting each other and doing our best.

Don't worry, you will not be embarrassed or out of your depth here. Our coaches and experienced swimmers will help you prepare. 

Swimmers are expected to participate in at least 2 swim meets per season. We encourage you to sign up for the most events allowed in order to maximize point scoring. At the end of the season the team with most points wins the Provincial League trophy. We have now won our division 6 years in a row!

All swimmers will take part in the freestyle events. Eager swimmers will learn and take part in backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and IM as well.  Everyone will be called upon for relay races! These are fun team bonding, point scoring events and not to be taken too seriously. 

Diving and flip turns are not mandatory. You are welcome to start each race from in the water. During the warm up you will have a chance to practice diving, and we are hoping to offer diving clinics soon.

The annual registration fee is $145 this season:

- $77 for SwimBC membership

- $25 for MSABC membership

- $30 Coast fee to fund running the club

- $13 toward our swimmer assistance fund

Note: new swimmers will also need to purchase a team swim cap.

We have 49 spaces available on the team this season.

Update: 15 September 2025

Swim team registration is now closed and we are now doing all the admin work required to get all our swimmers set up with the Masters Swimming Association of BC and with SwimBC. You will get emails from these organizations and you must create/login to your account and follow the steps to complete registration. Swimmers who do not complete this process will not be able to sign up for the swim meets. Invoices for team fee's will be set you shortly. Please follow the instructions and pay these promtly. Do not send an e-transfer to Swim Smart. Make sure you send payment to Coast Swim Team - coastswimmers18@gmail.com
